The Michigan Transition Services Association Scholarship was established in 2000. The association is interested in assisting persons pursuing an education and career in the area of Special Education, Rehabilitation or related to helping persons with disabilities. Scholarship awards are made to applicants at the discretion of the committee established by each regional representative, based on MTSA board recommendations. All awards are made without regard to race, creed, color, sex, religion or national origin.
- Students must be enrolled in an accredited college of undergraduate school or a graduate program. The program must be in an area of Special Education, Rehabilitation or related to helping persons with disabilities.
- Students must complete the application before January 1, 2024.
Regional representatives will establish a committee to review the applications and select a recipient. Single grants of $500 will be awarded to one person from each region. Grant recipients will be notified no later than January 13, 2024.
Scholarship recipients will be invited to attend the Annual MTSA Conference, at their own expense. The MTSA Scholarship Recipients will be recognized at the conference.
